I was famous...for 30 seconds anyway.

So, we found out that Valentine from 104.3 (popular radio station here in LA) is a big Chick-fil-A fan! Me, being the savvy marketing guru that I am....got his producer's email and phone number. (Ok, I was just lucky on that one. hehe) ANYWAY, Valentine's producer, (who also happens to be RYAN SEACREST'S producer too!!) told us to come on down and surprise him! Me and and the Cow drove to Clear Channel radio in Burbank and delivered breakfast to Valentine and his morning crew! We were led straight to his radio booth and he put me on the air!! He asked me my name, and what I did for Chick-fil-A! I was really nervous, but i think I pulled it off without sounding too "hickish"! haha Who knows...maybe Ryan will get jealous andwant Chick-fil-A ,too....he is from Atlanta after all.
Have I mentioned that I LOVE MY JOB????

Time flies when....you're old.

My niece Bailey turned 8 on Monday! I met her for the first time when she was 2....and i knew I would love her forever! She is actually (ok, see if you can follow this...) my sister's ex husband's daughter from a previous marriage. But I have always felt like she was my real family.....even now, when I go back home I always make time for Bailey! Happy Birthday Bay Bay! Auntie Lisa loves you tons!

America wants us to be fat!

Why is America suffering from obesity? Healthy food is too expensive, that's why!! I am desperately trying to eat healthier, but I am cheap. I do not want to spend $5.00 for 6 Kashi granola bars, when I can spend $2.99 for the 10 Chocolate chip granola bars. Organic fruit and veggies...TWICE as expensive as the "non organic". Bag of carrots is more than a bag of chips. I am going to have to give up some of my life luxuries in order to afford to eat better. No wonder I haven't been motivated....give up shopping and Starbucks for tofu and salad? Blah.

Is this company fo real??

I love my job. I mean, I REALLY love my job! For those that don't know, I am the Marketing Director for 2 Chick-fil-A restaurants and I am impressed on a weekly basis on what a generous and caring company Chick-fil-A is. Every work event I attend, I come away with my heart full.... full of gratitude. I have never worked for a company that cares or invests so much in their employees....no matter what your job title is.

I really don't use this term often, but...I feel "blessed" to have stumbled upon this job. Everything happens for a reason....

Jessi--I am trying this blogging thing again. :-)

My sister is choosing drugs over her daughter. My sister is choosing drugs over her family. I am struggling between feeling extremely sad and raging mad! She is still playing the role of a victim and weaving a web of lies. I can only wonder what my poor niece is thinking.....what do we tell her when she asks where her mommy is? I miss Mia terribly and my heart aches to hear her sweet little voice. I hate Mary for taking that little girl away from me. I know Mia is safe and she is where she needs to be......but she would still be here in California if Mary had been the mother that Mia deserves. How do I not hate my sister?
